Over on Episcopoid, we found this item. Now, we can’t say if the posting there verges on cheery and gleeful, but it certainly lacks signs of Christly compassion or Christian character towards a fallen brother.

Why? Hell hath no fury like liberalism scorned. Thus, the vocally conservative Fr. Pascoe is “one of them” for rabid ECUSA-loyalist “Rev.” Nunley; not of our tribe. You, know: Good riddance. A-HA! Told ya: they’re all hypocrites! One down, a few thousand to go. And so on. We’ll note there was no such liberal grave-dancing when the current bishop of New Hampshire revealed his battles with alcoholism (and many conservatives called for prayer). Shame, Jan: shame. Dust Thou Art

While the liberals grumble over their Double Ristretto Ventis (with Half-Soy Nonfat Decaf Organic Chocolate Brownie Iced Vanilla Double-Shot Gingerbread Frappuccino Extra Hot With Foam Whipped Cream Upside Down Double Blended, One Sweet’N Low and One Nutrasweet, and Ices), we’ve pondered what a ‘liberal response’ to Dar might look like.

After all, to a flatlander, it’s all this-worldly, right? Therefore, giving your solemn word as an ordained Christian (signing on, or signing off, in wiggle-room-speak) is not to swear upon your eternal soul (your What-Now?), nor to give your word as to Christ himself (that rather inspiring dead rabbi), nor even to give the solemn pledge of a serious and worthy person, whose word is bond.

Why? It’s all about the revolution, heaven-on-earth, fighting Them and the hateful neanderthalic bigoted reactionary views They stand for, type thing. (more…)
